ROOFING ON A WHOLE NEW LEVEL
Since 1992, B & D Roofing & Building has provided specialist roofing and building services for homes, businesses, industrial premises and historic properties across East Central Scotland. From our base in Gorebridge, we work throughout Edinburgh, Fife, the Lothians and the Scottish Borders.
As a family-run business spanning generations, we understand that no two buildings are the same. From a straightforward roof repair to the sensitive restoration of a historic property, we take the time to understand the structure, its condition and its character before recommending the right approach.
Our experience combines traditional roofing craftsmanship with modern materials and systems. Where appropriate, we also use reclaimed and recycled materials to help retain the character of older buildings while embracing newer roofing technologies where they offer the right solution.
ROOFING SOLUTIONS BUILT FOR THE SCOTTISH WEATHER
Our capabilities extend far beyond standard roof installation. We undertake new roofs and replacements, roof repairs, traditional slating and tiling, flat roofing, specialist leadwork, commercial and industrial roofing, green roofs, chimney repairs and roofline maintenance.
B & D Roofing & Building also has extensive experience working with heritage and listed properties. Our portfolio includes projects involving the careful reuse of original slate, traditional lead detailing, stone restoration, masonry repairs and conservation work, allowing us to look beyond the roof itself when an older building requires a more considered approach.
Alongside residential roofing, our commercial and industrial experience means we can support projects ranging from individual properties to larger premises, refurbishment schemes and specialist exterior works throughout East Central Scotland.

I can’t recommend B&D Roofing highly enough! From the very first contact, they were friendly, professional, reliable, and extremely helpful. Their communication was excellent from start to finish, keeping me informed throughout the whole process and making everything easy and stress-free. The whole team worked incredibly hard and took real pride in what they were doing. The quality of the workmanship was outstanding, with excellent attention to detail, and everything was completed to a very high standard. They also left everything clean and tidy once the job was finished. It’s not often you find a company that genuinely cares about doing a great job, but B&D Roofing definitely does. I’m absolutely delighted with the finished result and would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending them to family, friends, and anyone looking for a trustworthy, hardworking, and professional roofing company. A massive thank you to the whole team at B&D Roofing — fantastic service, excellent workmanship, and great communication from start to finish!
