Dome of the Rock, Jerusalem
The Dome Rock in Jerusalem is one of the most incredible pieces of architecture in human history. Built in 692 AD the Islamic Shrine is located on the Temple Mount in the ancient religious city of Jerusalem. In fact, the building is the oldest surviving work of Islamic architecture in the entire world. One of the most striking things about this building is of course the large golf dome which the temple is named after. In fact, the gold dome is so striking that it is often considered one of the most impressive buildings in the whole of Jerusalem.
